WVU football has been working on converting a pair of 2026 prospects ranked among the top ten players in Pennsylvania in their class to flip their commitments to the Mountaineers from Penn State after the Nittany Lions fired their coach this year. For one of those players – offensive tackle Kevin Brown – it seems the Mountaineers are getting close to landing him.
Now, it appears there is a third highly-touted Pennsylvania product already committed to the Nittany Lions who is coming around on the idea of West Virginia as a new home. Terry Wiggins is ranked as a four-star prospect and is listed as the tenth-best player in his class in Pennsylvania and 15th-best linebacker nationally in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. And according to the most recent reporting from 247Sports, Wiggins is now considering WVU as a top option in the recruiting process.

Fresh off flipping a Miami (OH) commit in Makhi Boone and a UNC commit in Aidan Woods, the Mountaineers are building a stacked 2026 class at head coach Rich Rodriguez looks to build his offense via a talented high school recruiting class instead of leaning too heavily on the transfer portal, with him previously stating that he only wants to need to bring in 8-10 “impact transfers” next season.
If WVU could cap off the class with a strong finish by adding a number of the best players in the nation who had previously been locked into a program with a reputation for consistently being a Top 10 team, it could set the Mountaineers up perfectly for Rodriguez’s second season in 2026.
