It has been a busy high school recruiting season for head coach Rich Rodriguez in his first season back at WVU, and he has continued to build momentum for the Class of 2026 in the past week.

The Mountaineers landed another wide receiver in the class of 2026 on Wednesday when three-star Landon Drumm announced his commitment to WVU. Hailing from Littleton, Colorado, Drumm is the composite 16th-ranked recruit in the state of Colorado and the 91st-ranked athlete in the 2026 class according to 247Sports.

Measuring at 6โ€™2โ€™ and 190 pounds, Drumm likes to describe himself as a versatile athlete who has multiple skills at the receiver position.

โ€œI would say I am a tall, fast, and physical receiver that can catch anything,โ€ Drumm commented on his game to On3/Rivalsโ€™ Keenan Cummings.

The 2026 grad has confidence in his game and what he can bring to the WVU offense when he arrives on campus. Drumm will be joined by a JUCO wide receiver, Kedrick Triplett, who committed to WVU on Sunday.

Drumm only held five total scholarship offers (including WVU) according to 247Sports. All four other scholarship offers for Drumm came from FCS schools, with the Mountaineers competing with Cal Poly, Montana State, Northern Colorado, and San Diego. ย

Drumm will be joining WVU for the 2026 season, along with other Class of 2026 wide receivers Tripplet, Robert Oliver, and in-state wide receiver Malachi Thompson. The Littleton native makes the 33rd player to commit to WVU so far through the recruiting cycle.

Coach Rodriguez made a plan to focus on the high school recruiting cycle, and he has made good on his promise, adding exciting talent, including four-star legacy recruit Kevin Brown.

There could be more recruits on their way to committing to WVU, but if WVU does not land any more high school/JUCO talent, it will still be a very successful 2026 class for Rodriguez and his staff.
