WVU basketball transfer guard Honor Huff has been garnering some buzz for his shooting skill.
Transfering in from Chattanooga, Huff has not played a minute for the Mountaineers yet, but is already predicted to be one of the best players on the court for WVU. Andy Katz, a digital reporter for NCAA.com, ranked his Top 10 Three-Point Shooters for the 2025-2026 season and placed Huff as the seventh-best three-point shooter in the nation.

Transitioning from the Southern Conference to the Big 12 will be a big step in the competition level for the Brooklyn, New York, native, but he seems ready for it. In his final season with the Mocs, Huff averaged 15.2 points per game, 2.3 assists per game, and 1.8 rebounds per game for Chattanooga. Huff shot 42.4% from the floor and 41.6% behind the arc, making 3.4 threes per game in his last season at Chattanooga – he also holds the honor of having converted more three-pointers lst season than any other returning player in Division 1 basketball this season.
Huff has shot 39.5% from beyond the arc throughout his three-year career. The new Mountaineer spent one season at Virginia Military Institute before transferring to Chattanooga for two seasons, and has averaged 14.3 points per game, 2.4 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game throughout his career.
Huff projects to be a starter for the Mountaineers when the season tips off on November 4 against Mt. Saint Mary’s. The Chattanooga transfer is an elite threat behind the three-point line and will help bring space to this WVU offense.
