There's sometimes too much news breaking about West Virginia football to dedicate every story to it's own article.
A lot is going on with current and former Mountaineers at the moment, so let's take a look at some stories you may have missed surrounding WVU football.
Neal Brown Officially Headed To The SEC
After rumors broke on Monday that 2024 College Football Playoff semifinalist Texas was targeting former WVU Head Coach Neal Brown for their staff, Anwar Richardson of Rivals confirmed on Tuesday that Brown has already been hired by the Longhorns, though his current role on the staff is unknown.
Brown's tenure at WVU from 2019-2024 caused controversy amongst fans as his time in Morgantown dragged on despite mixed results on the field -- Brown finished his WVU career with an overall record of 37-35

Rich Rodriguez Feels He Can Win With Current QB Room
Current WVU football coach answered questions about his quarterback room during a Tuesday press conference following a spring practice session, and he seems to feel pretty confident in the group he has at the position.
"I like to come out of camp with three guys we can win with, and I feel pretty confident with the talent we have right now that we have three guys we can win with," Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez, however, was definitely hesitant to get into the idea of a timeline regarding when fans and media might know who the true starter will be this fall.
"When's the first game," Rodriguez asked. "Do we have a game time yet?"
When he was answered that game time wouldn't be announced for a few months, he chirped back quickly with an answer based on a hypothetical start time.
"Okay, well if the game is at 1, [you'll know at] 12:59. We'll know before then...to determine the starter, someone may separate themselves before the end of the spring, but they may not."
