Don't upset Pat McAfee – you never know who he's going to tell.

The former West Virginia football star is more known these days as the host of the eponymous Pat McAfee Show on ESPN, and on Friday, he brought the show to Omaha, Nebraska to support WVU baseball during their first College World Series appearance, just one week after turning out in Morgantown for the Super Regionals. And when he got into town on Thursday night, he visited Rocco's Pizza and Cantina, the bar which hosts the infamous jello shot competition for fans of competing teams.

Supporters of the West Virginia Mountaineers have been riled up all week to get down to drinking in Omaha, and many are just as excited to take the crown in the jello shot competition as they are to see their team potentially capture a national title. And the owner of Rocco's even shouted out McAfee in a video earlier this week about West Virginia qualifying for the College World Series. But things got off to a rough start for McAfee.

Pat McAfee airs his grievances with Rocco's in Omaha live on ESPN

The former WVU star reportedly had a terse interaction with the general manager at Rocco's once he arrived at the bar on Thursday night, which he proceeded to talk about on his show while live on ESPN on Friday afternoon. He said he was seeking guidance on how to pay for drinks for West Virginia fans, and had a checkbook with him.

The GM allegedly told him his checks would "probably bounce" before walking away, and McAfee had to chase him down to get more information. He was told he'd have to pay with a card, and when he questioned how LSU boosters paid for so much at once last year, he was told they did, in fact, use a check.

McAfee and his co-hosts, joined by West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez, then joked about how the money might be better suited to buying Rodriguez a defensive lineman on the football team. They also alluded to the idea that they wished the contest might take place at a different bar.

For Rocco's part, they don't seem to be too upset with McAfee. Not long after the segment on the show, the official scoreboard was updated for the jello shot challenge, with West Virginia skyrocketing into the lead (and Top 10 on the all-time leaderboard less than 24 hours in). Furthermore, the post shouted out McAfee for allegedly leaving "the biggest tip Rocco's has ever seen."
