Latest WNBA mock drafts bode well for multiple WVU stars

At least two WVU women's basketball players could find themselves selected in Monday night's WNBA Draft.

The WNBA is set to take place on Monday evening, and the West Virginia Mountaineers could see multiple players selected.

Just hours ahead of the draft, several national outlets have posted new mock drafts, giving some last minute insight into where several of the biggest stars in women's basketball could end up playing professionally. And two different WVU players were listed as likely picks.

Kierra "Meme" Wheeler, Jordan Harrison projected as WNBA Draft picks

In the latest mock draft shared by ESPN's Michael Voepel, Kierra Wheeler finds herself projected as a second round draft pick, going at No. 29 overall to the Las Vegas Aces. Meanwhile, both Bleacher Report and CBS Sports have projected Jordan Harrison as a third round selection, with Jack Maloney of CBS Sports having her going No. 43 overall to the Atlanta Dream and Bleacher Report projecting her at No. 41 to the New York Liberty.

Wheeler started all 35 games for the Mountaineers this season, averaging 13.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Harrison, meanwhile averaged 13.1 points, 5.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.2 seals per game, She won the Most Outstanding Player award in the Big 12 Tournament, and was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

One player that is still not listed in any mock drafts in Sydney Shaw, who has also declared for the draft and was one the WVU's top contributors this past season, setting the program record for the most single-season three pointers.
