The West Virginia Mountaineers are continuing to win over hearts and minds all across college basebll.

The program stepped into the national spotlight last week after back-to-back-to-back wins in elimination games to punch their NCAA Super Regional ticket for the third straight season, and ESPN helped bring even more attention with a full broadcast of the packed stadium belting "Take Me Home, Country Roads" with the team following the win, allowing one of the greatest traditions in all of college sportsto go viral.

And with No. 1 overall seed UCLA being eliminated in the Los Angeles Regional, it opened the door for the Mountaineers to host the Super Regional round for the first-time in program history. And with all the West Virginia luminaries in attendance – from former baseball coach Randy Mazey to current basketball coach Ross Hodge toformer West Virginia gridiron star Pat McAfee– the Mountaineers delivered once more.

West Virginia dominated the Cal Poly Mustangs in Game 1, securing a 12-2 win and putting the program in a situation they haven't been in since 1955 – as they nowsit just one game awayfrom the College World Series.

After the game, the internet lit up with reactions to both another electric West Virginia crowd, the impressive showing on the diamond, and the way the Morgantown community has rallied around the program and the opportunity to host a Super Regional. Check out some of the best reactions below and let us know how you're feeling after the win!

I'd like to propose that Morgantown host a Super Regional every year because this is awesome.

You’re a 21-year-old college pitcher.

You just flew across the country, step on the mound, and 4,000 of the loudest, most rabid fans in college sports are already in full lather — losing their minds. Behind them? An entire ridge packed with pepperoni-roll-stuffed maniacs at full…https://t.co/2JZcUcZDsa
