Honor Huff Has Incredible Three-Point Shooting Performance In Dominant Win Over Lafayette

The senior guard proved why he was such a highly-touted transfer prospect in the Mountaineers' win over the Leopards.

Hurry up and buy your Honor Huff stock today, because it's about to get expensive fast.

Huff 's reputation entering his senior season for the Mountaineers was as a deadly three-point shooter – he converted more three-point shots than any player at the Division 1 level last season while playing for the Chattanooga Mocs, and he set the college basketball world abuzz as he reportedly drained ten three-point buckets in a "secret" scrimmage against the Maryland Terrapins last month.

Huff had been efficient enough from deep range so far for the Mountaineers, but he truly demonstrated how dangerous he is on Monday night as the Mountaineers earned a dominant home court win against the Lafayette Leopards, as Huff scored 24 points and tied for the second-best three-point shooting performance in program history with eight converted shots from behind-the-arc.

"He had no assists and three turnovers, which means he probably needs to keep shooting threes instead of trying to pass it," head coach Ross Hodge joked after the game to Mountaineer Sports Network.

Huff's performance ties Mike Gansey, Frank Young, and Tucker DeVries for the second-most three-pointers made in a game for the Mountaineers. Alex Ruoff holds the all-time record with nine three-pointers made against Radford during the 2008-2009 season.

While Huff has been a great scorer for the Mountaineers so far this season, Monday night was the first real glimpse at the sharpshooter that received so much buzz surrounding his transfer to a Big 12 program like West Virginia. If he can continue to shoot all season like he did against the Leopards, he will be one of the deadliest weapons in all of the conference this season.
