WVU baseball will be making the trip to the College World Series for the first time in program history, and they will begin their journey towards what they hope will be a national championship in less than 24 hours.

To get there, the Mountaineers will open play against another team making their first appearance on the biggest stage in college baseball, the Troy Trojans. The No. 16 national seed West Virginia and the Trojans will join No. 5 national seed UNC and Ole Miss in a double-elimination, four-team bracket.

Whoever emerges as the winner will advance to the College World Series finals against the winner of a bracket featuring an all-SEC contingent of Oklahoma, No. 7 national seed Alabama, No. 6 national seed Georgia, and No. 3 national seed Texas. Here's all the info you need to follow along with WVU as they get the action started on Friday.
