The West Virginia Mountaineers continued their hard work on the recruiting trail to kick off the week of early National Signing Day on Monday evening as WVU football landed the second-ranked JUCO offensive line prospect in the Class of 2026.

The Mountaineers landed a commitment from Butler C.C. offensive lineman Deshawn Woods, marking their fourth JUCO signing of the day after snagging a trio of commitments from defensive backs earlier in the afternoon. Woods was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2022 out of high school, and is currently ranked as the No. 2 overall interior offensive lineman at the JUCO level in the Class of 2026.

Woods chose the Mountaineers over offers from Washington State, Western Kentucky, Troy, Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas State, North Texas, and Troy after visiting the Mountaineers this past weekend during the team's loss to Texas Tech. He will join a 2026 offensive line class that includes five other offensive lineman, including four-star prospect Kevin Brown and three-star prospects Lamarcus Dillard, Rhett Morris, Camden Goforth, and Aidan Woods.

Between the JUCO and high school level, the Mountaineers are now up to 35 commits in the class ahead of signing day this week, and still seem to be hard at work in the recruiting trail. Currently, their class is ranked 32nd overall at the FBS level for the Class of 2026, which is one of the program's best classes in recent memory. Keep an eye on the recruiting trail this week as the Mountaineers look to continue to wrap up this class with a bang.
