There's never a dull moment for a college football program when it comes to recruiting.

WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez has been open this fall about wanting to shift away from being too transfer-heavy of a program as his second tenure at West Virginia stretches on, and he has publicly stated he hopes to sign a recruiting class of 35 high school athletes headed into next season. The Mountaineers had already managed 26 hard commits in the Class of 2026 entering this week, and the news broke Thursday that Rodriguez has found time to land yet another in the midst of a busy regular season.

WVU has officially flipped three-star tight end Kade Bush, a Chanhassen, Minnesota product who had previously been committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks of the SEC. However, once Arkansas severed ties with now-former head coach Sam Pittman earlier this season, the Mountaineers took little time in getting in touch with the rising tight end prospect.

The Mountaineers sent tight ends coach Michael Nysewander to visit Bush in Minnesota during the program's bye week, and earlier this week Bush decommitted from the Razorbacks and made his decision official to choose the Mountaineers as his new program just hours ago. Bush is the 59th-best tight end in his recruiting class and the sixth-best player in Minnesota according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Bush, who is also a lacrosse player, has been featured as a traditional tight end but also as an outside receiver, a slot receiver, and a ball carrier for his high school program, proving his versatility. He will be a welcome addition to a stacked high school recruiting class being put together by Rodriguez and his staff.
