The West Virginia Mountaineers have revealed the uniform combination they'll be wearing during their Week 2 road trip to face off against the defending MAC Champion Ohio Bobcats – and if you happen to believe in good omens, then you'll probably be happy with the choice.
WVU football will suit up in a uniform combination that features a blue helmet, white jersey, and blue pants. The last time the Mountaineers wore this combo, they ran away to a big 38-14 win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys during the 2024 season – that game saw WVU rack up a mighty 389 rushing yards en route to the blowout victory.

The blue-white-blue combination has been a fairly consistent one for the Mountaineers over the years, as it has been worn the seventh-most times of any jersey combination in program history. WVU has suited up in that exact combination has been worn 32 times throughout program history, and WVU boasts a 19-13 record in the combination.
The game this weekend is a unique one for the Mountaineers, as they make their first true road trip to a Group of 5 opponent in over a decade. It is also quite a close trip for the Mountaineers, with Athens being just a 2 1/2 hour trip from Morgantown. So there will likely be a large chunk of WVU fans in attendance to witness this iteration of the blue-white-blue uniform combination, which was not necessarily the case the last time WVU wore the uniform in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
