The West Virginia Mountaineers have gotten their man, and fans couldn't be more excited about.

WVU men's basketball landed the top-rated recruit in program history on Sunday as Bella Vista Prep (Ariz) product Miles Sadler committed to the Mountaineers. Sadler, who is one of the Top 3 rated point guards in the nation and considered an elite on-ball defender, joined his high school teammate Aliou Dioum in pledging himself to WVU head coach Ross Hodge's staff.

With Hodge now having secured a four-star and a five-star commitment in the upcoming recruiting class, with a couple more highly-touted prospects on the table for the Class of 2027, people are incredibly excited about the recruiting work this current staff has done since arriving on campus last spring. Hodge's assistant Yusuf Ali being on staff alone played a considerable role, as he previously coached Sadler. But Sadler himself also credits Hodge's belief in him as a day one weapon for signing with WVU.

Fans took to social media after Sadler's decision was officially made to celebrate, as it's rare the Mountaineers get such a highly-touted recruit. His commitment to the program could be a game-changer for the future of West Virginia basketball, and fans realize that. And with the foundation being built becoming even clearer for fans, excitement will only be on the rise from here on out for what is being brought to Morgantown. And of course, at least one person was happy to see Oscar Tshiebwe, who transferred out of the program after two seasons, dethroned as WVU's top commit of all-time.
