WVU commit Miles Sadler garners significant attention with stellar senior season

The top-rated commit in program history is making further waves with his strong performance this season.

The West Virginia Mountaineers have a lot to look forward to in Class of 2026 signee Miles Sadler.

The highly-touted guard had already made a splash with Mountaineers fans after becoming the highest-rated recruit to ever sign with the program. Now, his strong efforts during his senior season are earning his even more acclaim.

Miles Sadler Impresses In Global Cup, Clims Recruiting Rankings

Sadler and his high school team, CIA Bella Vista (Ariz.), recently traveled overseas to take part in the international junior basketball competition known as the Avance Global Cup, where Sadler further established himself as one of the top 2026 prospects.

Sadler wowed against international competition, recording a triple-double against Dubai Basketball with 21 points,14 steals, and 12 assists. He would end up helping lead his team to the Global Cup Championship with a win in the title game over Rytas Vilinus (Lithuania), dropping a game high 28 points in the victory.

Sadler would leave the tournament as the Global Cup MVP, averaging 22 points, 6.7 assists and six steals per game across three contests.

Such performances explain why Sadler is continuing to climb in the national recruiting rankings. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Sadler was the No. 26 overall prospect in his class when he signed with WVU. During last week's updates, he climbed as hig as No. 18, and sits solidly in the No. 23 spot in this week's updates.

Sadler also climbed into the Top 3 among all 2026 point guards in the latest update to the Rivals150, which dropped this week. In addition to earning the spot as the third-best point guard in his class, he also jumped to No. 22 overall in he Class of 2026 in the latest Rivals rankings update.
