This upcoming weekend could be one of the biggest in WVU men's basketball history for recruting purposes.
Ross Hodge and his staff have been on a tear recruiting some elite talent since taking over the Mountaineers' program, and he'll have quite a few visiting at the same time this weekend. We've reported previously that five-star guard Miles Sadler will be in Morgantown this weekend for a visit. But Sadler, who is the high school teammate of current WVU commit and four-star center Aliou Dioum, is not the only big time recruit visiting. The Mountaineers are also set to host a pair of 2027 targets listed as four-star prospects by the 247Sports Composite Rankings as Jadyn Jenkins and Caleb Lundy come to town.
Jenkins and Lundy – who are high school teammates at Archbishop Wood in Warminster, Penn. – are the first-ranked and fourth-ranked prospects in the state of Pennsylvania in their class. Jenkins is a 6-foot-10 center and listed as the 12th-best center prospect in the country in his class. Meanwhile, the 6-foot-4 Lundy is ranked as the 27th-best point guard nationally in the Class of 2027.
It will be quite the weekend to give the recruits a glimpse of the campus, as the men and women's basketball programs are set to host the Ballin' at Woodburn tip-off event on Friday night after the university hosts it's Homecoming parade. From there, the recruits can attend the Homecoming festivities and Coal Rush football game against TCU on Saturday night, before getting a glimpse of Ross Hodge's inaugural team at WVU in a preseason exhibition against Division 2 program Wheeling (WV).
