WVU men's basketball coach Ross Hodge is putting in an incredible effort on the recruiting trail before he even coaches his first game for the Mountaineers.

Hodge has already landed a commitment from a four-star center, Aliou Dioum, in the Class of 2026. Now, Hodge is targeting Dioum's current teammate at the prep level –who is even a more-coveted prospect. The Mountaineers have scheduled a visit for later this month with Miles Sadler, according to national recruiting analyst Sam Kayser.

Sadler is a five-star point guard prospect from Scottsdale, Ariz. who is ranked as the third-best point guard in the country in 247Sports' composite rankings. He is also listed as the third-best player overall in the state of Arizona and the 26th-best player in the nation.

The Mountaineers offered Sadler on July 26, and are competing with several power conference programs for Sadler's services. Sadler has 17 offers from programs in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC, and has already visited the Tennessee Volunteers in September, as well as a visit with mid-major UC-Santa Barbara. Sadler will make a trip to Morgantown on October 24, and also has an upcoming visit scheduled with the Oklahoma Sooners on October 15.

While a visit is nothing more than just that – not a commitment, or even WVU making Sadler's final school – it does show that Hodge and has staff has made enough of an impression to convince him to travel across the country to see Morgantown and the Mountainers' facilities. And with the close connection to current WVU commit, it could be enough to land what would be the program's highest-ever rated recruit.
