As the West Virginia Mountaineer gets closer to the start of the second season of the Ross Hodge era, things are looking quite bright for the Mountaineers. They spent the offseason securing one of the best overall recruiting hauls in college basketball between their high school class and portal class.
The player among all those newcomers which has garnered the most attention so far is true freshman Miles Sadler, who was the highest-rated commit in program history and is already garnering a buzzas a potential first-round pickin the 2027 NBA Draft. It's good news for WVU basketball fans that they'll have that type of talent in their top player – but it turns out he might not be the only NBA-level talent on the roster.
Finley Bizjack projected as 2027 NBA Draft pick
Jonathan Wasser, who serves as the lead NBA Draft Insider at Bleacher Report, recently released a newly-updated 2027 NBA Mock Draft, whichfeatures Finley Bizjacklisted as the No. 58 pick, going near the end of the second round.
Bizjackhas been a multi-year starterfor the Butler Bulldogs, and was one of their main scorers in recent seasons. Last year, he averaged 17.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the team. He will be entering his fourth year of collegiate basketball, which means under new eligibility rules, he does now have the option to play two more seasons at the collegiate level. So there's no guarantee he decides to test the draft waters next offseason.
But the fact that he's already turning heads among NBA Draft analysts a potential pick shows that he has an elite-level upside, and if he's able to channel those skills consistently at West Virginia, it could mean that the Mountaineers have two future NBA-caliber talents starting in the backcourt. And that's really good news for West Virginia.
