The West Virginia Mountaineers have looked quite strong during the opening portion of the 2026 college baseball season, getting off to a 21-7 start and sitting firmly comfortable in all of the Top 25 polls.
That success has become standard for the Mountaineers in recent seasons, who are turning into one of the best baseball programs in the Big 12. And featuring prominently for the Mountaineers during their successful stretch in recent seasons has been infielder Gavin Kelly.
Kelly is a sophomore, and has been a critical piece of West Virginia rotation over the past two years. And on Wednesday, Kelly was listed by Baseball America as one of their Top 10 2027 Draft Prospects.
