The West Virginia Mountaineers are moving onto the Big 12 Tournament after closing their season out with a series victory over TCU, and they have their hopes set on the possibility of hosting their first NCAA Regional since 2019. But before they get there, they need to get through the conference tournament.

A big performance this week at the league tournament could go along way in helping secure the Mountaineers a host seed in the NCAA Tournament, and they will be happy with their path to the finals. They have earned the No. 2 seed in the the Big 12 Tournament, which gives them a double-bye in this year's new format.

They will play their first game on Thursday, which will be against either Kansas State, TCU, or Utah. They will then move on to face the winner of Arizona State vs. Cincinnati on Friday night with a win. If they get through their first two games, they'll move onto the conference championship game on Saturday. The top seed on the other side of the bracket is No. 1 seed Kansas, who West Virginia swept this month.
