The transfer portal closes today in college basketball, with many players jumping in at the last minute and a large chunk of players in the portal yet to choose their new home.

Meanwhile, the football spring portal window in underway and the action is hot and heavy as teams use their final opportunity before the upcoming season to add pieces and trim fat from their rosters -- and with new 105-man roster limits, there is a need for many teams to trim more fat than usual.

West Virginia is not an exception to this chaos in either sport, so here's the latest transfer portal news of both fronts for the Mountaineers.

Final 2024-2025 Roster Members Hit Portal

While Morgantown has been abuzz with the latest roster addition of Treysen Eaglestaff out of the transfer portal, it's easy to miss that the final pair of Mountaineers from last season's roster have officially entered the portal themselves.

Forward Haris Elezovic and center Abraham Oyeadier started this past week off by entering the transfer portal just as it was about to close. Oyeadier was a freshman who redshirted this past season and will have four seasons of eligibility remaining.

Elezovic will have one year of eligibility remaining under the recent rule which granted athlete who played at non-NCAA institutions an extra year to play. He made 14 appearances for WVU off the bench this season but mainly served as a depth piece.

On Easter Sunday proper, the Mountaineers picked up even more steam as they added two more portal additions, this time each coming from Power 4 schools -- the Mountaineers grabbed Missouri edge rusher Eddie Kelly Jr. and North Carolina wide receiver Christian Hamilton.

Kelly Jr. will be on his fourth team in four seasons -- he started at USF as a freshman before moving to Georgia Tech as a sophomore and Missouri as a junior, He's tallied 76 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and 1.5 sacks over three years.
