1. Will Grier

The sensational quarterback transfer from Florida brought an insane level of hype with his arrival.
After being suspended for the 2016 season for testing positive for PED use, Grier started his WVU legacy in 2017.
In his first season with the Mountaineers, the junior quarterback threw for a highly impressive 3,490 yards, adding 34 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. WVU finished 7-5 in 2017 and lost to Utah in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. Grier suffered a broken finger during the Texas game in the Mountaineer’s 11th game of the season.
In his second year with WVU, the senior quarterback threw for an unbelievable 3,864 yards, including 37 touchdowns with only eight interceptions. Grier led the Mountaineers to an 8-4 record in 2018.
Grier made his lasting legacy with the game-tying touchdown throw to Greg Jennings Jr. for a 33-yard touchdown pass at Texas. Grier ran in the two-point conversion with under 30 seconds left in the game to give the Mountaineers a 42-41 win over the 17th-ranked Texas Longhorns.
Grier was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
