WVU football is entering a new era as Rich Rodriguez returns to Morgantown for his second stint leading the program, and expectations are high for the legendary coach and his staff.
One of Rodriguez's goals over his first offseason has been to instill his "hard edge" mentality inside the program and to prepare any players who might be "too soft" before the 2025 campaign gets under way. It appears one way he's doing that is by introducing the team to Law School Hill.
The infamous hill where the WVU College of Law sits overlooking Milan Puskar Stadium features a steep, grassy incline that extends the perfect length to use for sets of hill sprints, and a pair of videos posted by the program's official account on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday show that Rodriguez is not hesitating to make use of it's presence this summer.

The two short videos -- with one wistfully captioned "It's Hill szn" -- show the Mountaineers' coaching staff leading their team through multiple sets of sprints up the hills. The footage indicates a constant rotation only interrupted by the return walk down the hill, with players sprinting up the slope while other descend down. It's safe to say that the WVU athletes are getting some good workouts in underneath their new coach.
Utilization of Law School Hill for sets of sprints isn't the only unique workout that Rodriguez likes to break out -- HailWV has previously taken an in-depth look at what Rodriguez's infamous offseason "Tour of Duty" workout sessions look like.
