The West Virginia Mountaineers are set to cap off their spring football practices this weekend with the 2026 Gold-Blue Spring Festival, featuring on-field action between members of the program's football team and fan-focused activities including a post-game concert from country music star Jake Owens.
The festival is set for Saturday, April 18, with a gear sale at Touchdown Terrace and pre-game festivities at Almost Heaven Village kicking off at 9:30 AM. Gates are set to open at 11:00 AM, and a scrimmage will take place from Noon-1:30 PM.
Afterwards, fans will get field access from 1:30 PM-2:30 PM before Jake Owens caps the festivities with a concert from 2:30 PM-3:30 PM. During his press conference on Monday, Rodriguez made his pitch to get fans to turn out to the event.
"I know our players are really looking forward to it, our Blue-White deal, and I've talked to a lot fans that are really excited about coming up here and seeing some of the new guys and some of the activities we have," Rodriguez said.
WVU Rich Rodriguez made his pitch for fans to come this weekend to the Gold-Blue festival because this is an era where revenue means a whole lot more.

"Bring your whole family, bring your kids."
"If you're a Mountaineer fan and you can make it this Saturday, come on up here and check us out, and check out all the things we got going on. Bring your whole family, bring your kids."
The admission to the game is free, but the revenue generated from the gear sale and any other pre-game activities will go a long way in this revenue powered era for the program. So if you're looking to support the program and get an early look at next season's WVU football team, you know where to be this Saturday.
