While West Virginia football lost an elite offensive lineman to graduation (and subsequently the NFL Draft) in Zach Frazier, they head into the 2024 football season with yet another big man in the trenches preparing to turn heads -- and folks at the national level are starting to recognize the talent the Mountaineers have.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) is a popular sports analytics company that provides player grades and advanced statistics in the college football world, with all 32 NFL teams and over 100 college teams using their services. On Tuesday, they began to release their countdown of the Top 50 college football players headed into the 2024 season -- and that aforementioned WVU lineman, senior and West Virginia native Wyatt Milum -- kicked off the list as PFF's 50th-best player nationally, regardless of position.

Earlier this offseason, Milum was named to the 2024 Outland Trophy Watch List, and has spent his time since the conclusion of the 2023 season inheriting the role as the anchor and leader of the Mountaineer offensive line following the departure of Frazier and Doug Nester, who helped keep the unit in line last season.
