This past summer, West Virginia football unveiled their new black uniforms designed as a tribute to the state's coal mining industry, leaving fans eager to see them on the field.

Now, WVU fans won't have to wait much longer as it was announced Monday that the team's October 12th home game against Iowa State will be a night game and a "Coal Rush" theme -- meaning this is likely the night we see the black uniforms make their debut.

The game, set for kickoff at 8 pm EST, will also be carried by Fox, the Mountaineers' second appearance this season on the network after they opened the year hosting Fox Big Noon Kickoff against Penn State. Iowa State is undefeated so far this season and projected as the 4-seed and Big 12 champion in our College Football Playoff projection. Provided they can knock off Big 12 bottom-dwellar Baylor next week and WVU can put away Oklahoma State, it could be a marquee conference matchup in Morgantown.
