West Virginia fans will be thrilled to see some of the latest social media posts by their star running back.

Big things were expected of Jahiem White this season as he entered his junior season with the Mountaineers after racking up over 1,687 yards over his first two years in Morgantown, but his season was quickly derailed in just Week 2 when he suffered an injury in a road trip to Ohio that would ultimately sideline him for the rest of the season. With the setback, WVU lost their starting running back, and from their the troubles continued to multiply.

There has likely been some concern among West Virginia fans about whether or not White would return to the program, as he would have two seasons of eligibility remaining with a medican redshirt and the potential other programs could come calling during portal season is always a danger. However, White has shared some posts on social media lately that indicate the star running back will likely be back in Morgantown next year. Or at least, he wants fans to think he will be.

In three separate posts to fans on Instagram, White responded to messages from fans. When asked if he was staying at West Virginia, he responded with a picture of himself with the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" playing. When asked if he was keeping his jersey number, he shared a picture of himself in a WVU jersey and rsponded with a shorthand abbreviation for 'of course.' And when one fan thanked him for his loyalty to WVU and the state of West Virginia, he said that "I do it for y'all" and left a heart emoji to close out the statement.

While posts on Instagram certainly aren't binding, and these things can change – the portal doesn't open for almost a month from now, after all – White does seem like he's fairly committed to returning to Morgantown. So West Virginia fans can keep on anticipating what feats White might accomplish in a Rich Rodriguez offense – they'll just be waiting a year longer than initially planned to see it happen.
