The West Virginia Mountaineers added two more wins to their resume this weekend at the Big 12 Baseball Tournament in Arizona, and finished the event as tournament runner-up after a tough loss to the Kansas Jayhawks in the championship game.
The Mountaineers now look ahead to the NCAA Tournament, which they know they will be playing in. However, still unanswered questions are whether or not West Virginia will host an NCAA Regional at Kendrick Family Ballpark in Morgantown for the first time since 2019 or hit the road again, as well as who the Mountaineers will be paired with in the regional round.
When will the NCAA Regional hosts be revealed?
Similar to with the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, the Top 16 seeds earn host status in the tournament and they will be revealed before the full field is announced. If you're looking to find out whether the Mountaineers will host, the NCAA will release the host seeds at 8:30 PM on Sunday, May 24. The announcement will be made via press release and social media, as well as on ESPN's bottom line.
When is the NCAA Tournament Selection Show?
To find out who the Mountaineers will be playing and when the action will kick off, fans will also need to schedule some time on Monday, May 25, when the NCAA reveals the tournament bracket in it's entirety.
If you're wanting to watch live as the brackets are unveiled, the selection show will be broadcast live on ESPN2, with the broadcast kicking off at 12 P.M. EST.
