WVU football has been relentless in their pursuit of new players in the portal, and after the last few days of commitments, have now added 26 new players to the team. Let's take a look at the latest slew of commitments over the past few days.
Amare "Bubba" Grayson - OL, Jacksonville State
The Mountaineers continue to add to an already impressive offensive line rebuild as they secure a commitment from an All-Conference USA first-team offensive lineman in Amare Grayson. Grayson is finishing his sophomore year with the Gamecocks, and he made 28 appearances and 22 starts during his first two seasons with the program. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
He played under current WVU offensive line coach Rick Trickett during both of his college seasons, and under WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez as a freshman in 2024. He joins fellow Jacksonville State lineman Cameron Griffin and running back Cam Cook in Morgantown after they anchored the fifth-ranked rushing attack in the FBS last year, with an average of 246 yards per game.
John Neider - WR, UConn
Neider spent the first three seasons of his career at UConn, and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. He converted from wideout to quarterback his senior year of high school, leading his high school program to the state semifinals in the Connecticut Class M Playoffs.
He was a special teams standout in 2024 for the Huskies as a redshirt freshman, and finished the 2025 season with 27 receptions for 422 yards and two touchdowns. He joins UConn offensive lineman Carsten Casady as transfer additions from the Huskies, who finished 9-4 last season, to the Mountaineers.
Harper Holloman - EDGE, Western Kentucky
Halloman joins the Mountaineers after two years with Western Kentucky. He made 21 appearances an 13 starts over his career, starting every game for the Hilltoppers in 2025. He finished last season with 39 tackles (5.5 TFLs), four pass breakups, two sacks, one interception, and one blocked kick. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Chams Diagne - CB, Georgia
Diagne will be entering his fifth season of college football, and spent three seasons at Georgia State with a one-year stint at the JUCO level in-between his two stints with the Panthers. In 2025, he recorded 25 tackles, three pass breakups, and one interception. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
Josh Sapp - TE, Clemson
Sapp spent four seasons with the Tigers, and has recorded 273 receiving yards and two touchdowns over the course of his career. He brings Power 4 starting experience to the roster, and played a career-high 267 snaps in 2025. He has one season of elibility remaining.
Peter Nataro - K, Alabama
Notaro was a freshman this past season with the Crimson Tide, making two appearances before redshirting. He finished the year 5-of-5 on point-after attempts and handle five kickoffs for 317 yards and three touchbacks.
Jack Cassidy - K, Western Kentucky
Cassidy started his career in his native Northern Ireland at the University of Ulster, and made the move to the FBS level last year with at Western Kentucky. Ke was a kickoff specialist for the Hilltoppers, handling 72 kickoffs and recording 52 touchbacks. He was also called upon for three field goal attempts and converted all three, landing them from 55, 53, and 41 yards.
