WVU football has finally nabbed their first win of the season, and now they're back at home this week as they host the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday. The Mountaineers will face off against a Colorado team that enters with the exact same record on the season, and the Buffs enter having been outscored 105-24 in their last two games. For West Virginia, it's another opportunity for a winnable game – and if they can make that happen, then we're talking a winning streak and some momentum to ride. Let's take a last look at the match-up between the two struggling teams.

Final Odds

Vegas odds makers currently have the Mountaineers as favorites entering the game for the first time in weeks, with WVU favored by 6.5 points. The over/under for points total currently sitting at 52.5.

Injuries

The Mountaineers are still dow quarterbacks Nicco Marchiol and Jaylen Henderson, but they have Khalil Wilkins back from his injury issues this week to add depth at signal caller. The running back room depth has taken a hit though, as Clay Ash and Tyler Jacklich are both listed as out, in addition to the season-ending injuries suffered by Jahiem White and Tye Edwards earlier this year.

The Mountaineers are also missing several other starters or contributors for the season, including safety Jordan Scruggs, wideout Jaden Bray, and linebacker Ashton Woods. In addition, reserve safety Julien Horton and reserve offensive lineman Cooper Young are both still listed as out. All other players should be good to go for the Mountaineers.

Prediction

The Mountaineers actually enter as favorites for the first time since Week 2, and for good reasons. Colorado looks lost, as they have been beaten by 35-or-more points in two consecutive outings. WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez is know for a dynamic ruhsing attack offensively, and the Mountaineers have performed strongly on the ground a few times this year – including in last week's win. Colorado, meanwhile, has a bottom five rushing defense in the FBS. WVU should take this one in front of a home crowd and use it to gain some momentum. WVU 31, Colorado 17.
