Mark Kellogg had to complete a roster overhaul via the transfer portal this offseason, and he added several impressive pieces to the program. But before one of those players officially begins her stint with the Mountaineers, she's currently trying to bring some international glory to Canada.

Starting on June 30 and running through July 3, Forbes is competing for her native countryA in FIBA action, landing the opportunity to represent Canada in the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference. It's the third time that Forbes will represent her nation in international action, previously starring for Canada at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series in Vienna in 2025 and on the U18 Canadian National team in 2022.

A Markham, Ontario native, Forbes came to the US to embark upon her collegiate career, and spent her first three seasons with the Marquette Golden Eagles before hitting the transfer portal. She was a standout for Marquette, becoming a 1,000-point scorer during her stint and averaging 11.8 points and 4.9 rebounds over the course of her career. Last year, she was named an All-Big East Conference First Team selection.

Forbes is a talented player, and should easily factor in as a starter or key role player for Mark Kellogg next year. And the Mountaineers being able to secure elite international talent like Forbes is a representation of how far the program has come underneath Kellogg's leadership. And after she handles business for her home country, expect her to do the same in Morgantown next season.
