The West Virginia Mountaineers had another great week on the court, and continue to gain recognition for their efforts.

WVU climbed one more spot in this week's edition of the AP Top 25 Women's College Basketball Poll, jumping to No. 19 nationally after securing wins this past week over Colorado and Arizona. The Mountaineers now have victories over two teams ranked within the Top 15 of the poll, having defeated No. 11 Duke in November and No. 12 Baylor just over one week ago.

The Mountaineers have also been competitive with other teams ranked in the poll. West Virginia owes three of their five losses this season to teams that also appeared in the Top 25, with a nonconference defeat at the hands of No. 8 Ohio State and losses in Big 12 action to No. 16 Texas Tech and No. 17 TCU. The combined margin of victory in those three games for WVU's opponents was just eight points.

The Mountaineers also saw standout senior guard Jordan Harrison named to the Big 12 Starting Five for the second time this season. Each week, five players across the league are selected for the honor based upon their performances over the previous week.

Harrison makes her second appearance on the list after recording 18 points and six steals in the win over Colorado, before chipping in 14 points and setting a career-high with eight steals against Arizona. She also added five assists in the win over the Wildcats. She has now recorded at least five steals and 14 points in four straight games, which is the longest such streak by a Big 12 player since the turn of the century.
