West Virginia women's basketball is set to bring the NCAA Tournament to Morgantown for the first time in 34 years this weekend, and the Mountaineers will get to do so in fron of a sell out crowd.
The university officially announced on Friday that the Mountaineers have sold out the first round games set to take place on Saturday, March 21, with No. 5 seed Kentucky opening the action against No. 12 James Madison before No. 4 seed WVU takes the court against No. 13 see Miami (OH).

The Mountaineers opened ticket sales on Monday morning and sold over 11,000 tickets in the first hour before halting sales later in the today and guaranteeing a limited number of student tickets. Ticket sales re-opened briefly to close the week and the games quickly sold out from there.
The Mountaineers will likely threaten their all-time program attendance record on Saturday against Miami (OH), which was set when 13,477 fans attended the WVU-Baylor clash in 2013 which featured a visit from Brittney Griner and Kim Mulkey. The all-time Coliseum attendance record sits at 16,704, set during a 1982 Backyard Brawl men's basketball showdown between Pitt and No. 6 WVU.
The Mountaineers enter the match-up 44-5 over the past three seasons at Hope Coliseum, with their last home loss coming on January 14 this year against TCU. They have also won 10 of their last 11 contests and six straight games. The first round game between the Mountaineers and the RedHawks is set to tip-off at 5:00 PM on Saturday.
