Sharpshooting WVU men's basketball guard Honor Huff has earned an accolade from the Big 12 Conference for his outstanding performances for the Mountaineers last week.
Huff was listed in this week's 'Big 12 Starting Five,' which the conference announces in tandem each week with the Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week awards to honor the top five players in the conference each week on the hardwood.

Huff earned the honor after a pair of offensive explosions for West Virginia last week. He got the week started as WVU hosted the Little Rock Trojans at Hope Coliseum in Morgantown, as he tied his season-high of eight three-pointers (just one away from tying the single-game school record held by Alex Ruoff) and led the team with 24 points in the victory. He also added two assists, two steals, and one rebound in the game.
He picked up right where he left off on Saturday in a neutral-site contest against Ohio State, as he once again led his team in scoring with 24 points, this time knocking down five three-pointers and seven total field goals while also going 5-of-6 from the free throw line as the Mountaineers were defeated 89-88 in a double-overtime thriller. He also notched four assists in the win.
In total during the week, Huff went 13-of-24 from behind-the-arc, good for 54.1 percent from three-point range. He currently leads Division 1 in total made three-point shots this season, which is an honor he also finished the season with last year at Chattanooga. He is currently averaging 17.8 points per game for the Mountaineers.
