The West Virginia Mountaineers have already been hard at work in the transfer portal after their third straight second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament this past season, and head coach Mark Kellogg just finished filling one of the larger gaps in the roster earlier this week as he secured his second 6-foot-3 post player with starting Power 5 experience in Marquette transfer Skylar Forbes.
But on Tuesday, the Mountaineers added another major commitment that added significant depth to the back court and like pieced together a viable starting five for Kellogg next season – and he did so by completing a clean sweep of George Mason's top two scorers.

Kellogg add guard Kennedy Harris on Tuesday, who was the second leading scorer for the Patriots last season with 14.1 points per game. She joins her former teammate at George Mason is forward Zahirah Walton, who committed to the Mountaineers out of the portal earlier this offseason. Walton led George Mason in scoring with 18.1 points per game, while also pacing the team with 6.1 rebounds per game.
Both players bring a familiarity with success and postseason experience to the roster. They both played the past three seasons with the Patriots, where they were selected for the 2024 and 2026 Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament and the 2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The Patriots also captured the 2025 Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship and the 2026 Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship with Harris and Walton in the rotation.
