There's once again a quarterback controversy in Morgantown. Just a week after Nicco Marchiol won the starting quarterback job for WVU football and looked mightily impressive in the season opener for the Mountaineers, he appeared to take a step back in the team's Week 2 loss at Ohio. At one point, Marchiol was even benched in favor of backup Jaylen Henderson, but Henderson was unable to do much himself and Marchiol was eventually brought back in to close game.

Marchiol went a less-than-impressive 15-for-26 passing against Ohio and managed just 178 passing yards and threw one interception but scored zero touchdowns. On the ground, he managed a meager nine yards on 11 carries. But Henderson's showing gave no impression he's the man for the gig either, going 0-for-2 passing and gaining just four yards on three carries when he entered the game.

During his postgame press conference on Saturday, WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez said that he was trying to create "a little bit of a spark" when subbing Henderson in, and said that the outcome of the game "wasn't Jaylen or Nicco's fault, it's more mine."

Rodriguez also indicated that he wasn't quite certain where to go after the game in terms of who will get the starting nod during the upcoming Backyard Brawl, and that he'll want a bit of time before making that decision.

"Give me 24 hours," Rodriguez said on the matter.

More than a full day has passed since, and Rodriguez will address speak publicly for the first time since his postgame press conference on Saturday when on air for The Rich Rodriguez Show on Monday night, and he'll follow it up by having media availability on Tuesday morning. Fans will be eager to get that answer on the quarterback situation now that Rodriguez has been given his 24 hours to mull it over.
