West Virginia native and senior Mountaineer golfer Todd Duncan had a massive performance on Wednesday during Round 3 of the Big 12 Golf Championship.
The Shady Spring High School alum from Daniels, W.Va. started the tournament -- which is underway through Thursday at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma -- at 11-over-par through the opening two rounds, but bounced back strong on Wednesday.
Duncan shot 67 overall -- three-under-par for the course -- during the third round of the tournament, tallying five birdies during the performance. His overall score ties the second-lowest score ever posted by a Mountaineers golfer at the Big 12 Championship in the ten years since the program was reinstated at WVU.

His score ties two other Mountaineers -- Matthew Sharpstene shot a 67 at the tournament in 2018, and Max Green matched that total in 2023. Sharpstene also own the lowest-ever round by a Mountaineer at the event, having shot a 66 at the event in 2019.
Duncan was tied for second overall in the field amongst Wednesday's performances, and leaped 33 spots on the overall leaderboard to secure a spot within the Top 20 -- he is now tied for 18th overall with one round remaining, and sits nine shots behind the lead.
Duncan's performance helped the Mountaineers climb into 13th place overall as a team among the 16 teams in the field, and now sit a 52-over-par as a team through three rounds -- they trail the team ahead of them, BYU, by five shots.
