West Virginia picked up commitments from a pair of big-time small-college football players in the transfer portal on Sunday.

Parkersburg South alum and 2022 Randy Moss Award winning wide receiver Cyrus Traugh was the first to announce his decision on Sunday -- Traugh has spent two seasons at Division 1FCS program Youngstown State and redshirted his freshmen season before having a breakout year in 2024, hauling in 36 catches for 409 yards and 5 touchdowns. He brought in at least one catch in all 12 appearances during the season, and also served as a return specialist for the Penguins. He has three seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining.

During his time at Parkersburg South, Traugh helped lead the Patriots to a Class AAA state championship game appearance his senior season. He brought in 84 passes for 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns that year en route to capturing the Randy Moss Award, which is handed out to the top high school receiver in West Virginia every year.

Joining Traugh in committing on Sunday was LJ Turner, who spent the last three seasons at the Division 2 level playing for Catawba College (NC). Turner earned 174 carries and tallied 1,224 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground in just 8 appearances in 2024 before missing the end of the season with an injury -- he averaged 153 yards per game and 7 yards per carry. He broke a program record that had stood for 34 years against Anderson (SC) by rushing for 329 yards and 5 touchdowns on 35 carries.

Turner was named a First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) selection, a Division 2 Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) First Team All-Super Region Two selection, and an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Second-Team All-American. He also earned a spot on the D2Football.com Elite 100 list, which honors the top 100 players in Division II football each season.

Turner appeared in 27 total games over 3 seasons for the Indians, rushng for 1,961 yards and 20 touchdowns over the course of his career. He will come to Morgantown with one season of eligibility remaining.
