With WVU football turning the corner into November with jus three games and four weeks of the regular season remaining, things are heating up on the recruiting trail ahead of early National Signing Day in December. Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers landed a commitment from one JUCO wide receiver prospect on Tuesday night, and now seem to be hot on the trail of landing another top JUCO player.
According to Schuyler Callihan of West Virginia On SI, the Mountaineers are working to set up a visit with Josh Warren Jr., an EDGE currently playing for Georgia Military College. Listed as a freshman on the team's website, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Tampa, Fla. native is ranked by 247Sports Composite JUCO rankings as the second-best EDGE at the JUCO level in his class, and the 21st-best overall JUCO prospect nationally. This confirms earlier 247Sports reporting that Warren would be visiting Morgantown the weekend of the Texas Tech game.

Florida State, Houston, NC State, and SMU also in the mix.
Has nine sacks in nine games.
Warren has had an impressive season, helping anchor a defense that has led the Bulldogs to a 9-1 overall record with one regular season contest remaining. Warren has played in nine of those games for Georgia Military, and has registered 22 tackles (10 TFL) and nine sacks on the year. The Mountaineers were Warren's first Power 4 offer, but he has since several additional power conference offers from across the ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12.
Earlier in November, Warren listed his top five schools as West Virginia, Florida State, SMU, NC State and Houston. He also has visits established with four of those five programs over the next month.
"I visit Florida State on November 15th, NC State on November 21st, West Virginia on November 29th, and SMU in December," Warren told 247Sports.
The positive news on the recruiting trail should be a boost for the staff after they recently saw a three-star high school prospect in the Class of 2026, Jett Walker, flip his commitment to Minnesota. The Mountaineers are looking to sign a large high school recruiting class this offseason, according to Rich Rodriguez.
