There is officially a depth chart released for the West Virginia Mountaineers ahead of the UCF game this Saturday.
The official depth chart released with the game notes hasn't adjusted much this season even when changes have been made on the field – for example, Nicco Marchiol was still listed as the starter ahead of the BYU game, even though he had missed the previous game with injury and is now believed to be out for the season. Redshirt freshman Khalil Wilkins ended up as the starter. And for the entire season, while quarterback order has shifted slightly on the official depth chart, all five players in the competition have been listed with an 'or' after their names.
This week, the Mountaineers' depth chart similarly has not changed a ton, but there has been a significant shift in the order the quarterbacks are listed. Yes, the names still read 'or' afterward, indicating nothing is final. But before starting at BYU, Wilkins was listed as the fifth and final quarterback on the depth chart. This week, he has catapulted to the top, indicating that he may get the nod once again this coming week.
New WVU football depth chart is out. Only major change comes at QB, where 5 players are still listed with OR after their names.

But Khalil Wilkins was listed as the fifth OR before starting at BYU, and is now the top name. Scotty Fox jumped from fourth to second. #HailWV pic.twitter.com/eN0R8USVZp
True freshman Scotty Fox Jr. has also jumped up – he was listed fourth in the order before BYU but saw action as the second-string option, and now finds himself listed second behind Wilkins. Jaylen Henderson and Nicco Marchiol are in the third and fourth slots, respectively, though sources indicate Marchiol is seeking a medical redshirt and is done with the program. Max Brown is the fifth quarterback listed.
