Rodriguez will keep tight ends coach Blaine Stewart in the fold, though his position on the new staff is yet to be announce. Stewart was on the initialHailWV Hot Boardfor potential offensive assistants for the new staff and is the son of now-deceased former Rodriguez assistant and WVU Head Coach Bill Stewart. He finished his playing career collegiately at Charleston (WV) for Pat Kirkland, a current Jacksonville State assistant under Rodriguez.
According toEerSportsof the larger247Sportsnetwork, Mike Joseph, who has served since 2008 as strength and conditioning coach for WVU under three different head coaches, willalso be retainedby Rodriguez. Joseph is also the Assistant Athletic Director at WVU.
Retaining these two fixtures inside the program should go a long way in keeping current player and commits interested in hanging around, as it keeps a couple faces they know and have grown attached to around the football building in Morgantown.
