The West Virginia Mountaineers do not appear to be finished with additions to their 2026 defensive unit.
Most transfers and several early enrollees from the freshman and JUCO class are already on campus undergoing winter workouts, but WVU is still adding potential defensive standouts to the roster, with a late addition from one of the top JUCO cornerbacks in the nation on Wednesday.

Roberson brings a championship pedigree to Morgantown, having helped Iowa Western capture the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 National Championship against Hutchinson (KS), who also featured four WVU commits.
He finished the season with 33 tackles ,six interceptions, and three pass deflections in 13 games played, as earned both all-conference and All-American honors for his performance. He is currently a three-star prospect and the sixth-best JUCO cornerback in his recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Roberson is the third JUCO cornerback to sign with the Mountaineers this offseason, joining Hutchinson (KS) standouts Rayshawn Reynolds Jr. and Da'Mun Allen, the latter of whom was also named an All-American last season. Overall, he becomes the twelfth player from the junior college level in WVU's 2026 signing class.
