The West Virginia Mountaineers did not have a fun weekend at the Charleston Classic.

WVU basketball entered this weekend 5-0 on the season and looking forward to the opportunity to potentially boost their resume with a pair of Power 5 wins. Instead, they are walking away from the trip to South Carolina with more questions than they had to begin the trip, and a pair of losses that will serve as a blemish on the season.

The Mountaineers were felled by Xavier 78-68 on Sunday behind the Musketeers' explosive three-point shooting performance that saw them convert 16 buckets from behind-the-arc in the win. Combined with a second-half collapse and loss to Clemson on Friday night, it creates an unfortunate situation for West Virginia to have to rebound from in the middle of their non-conference schedule.

WVU fans were partially in disbelief and partially consumed by their pessimistic outlook following the game. It's not often you'll see a team have sch an incredible three-point shooting performance against your squad, though West Virginia fans have seen it before. So while some fans were coping with that abnormal stat, others were voicing their concerns about the team's overall performance and what it could mean for the rest of their season. Many were just grieving after two very difficult losses in winnable games over the course of three days.

With more basketball to play, although not until next Sunday, the Mountaineers will have to take some lessons from the loss and try to turn things around. Check out how the WVU fan base is handling the loss below, and let us know how you're feeling after the disappointing outcome on Sunday.
