Contrary to popular belief, Saturday night may not be alright for for fighting. Or at least is wasn't ton this weekend for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

WVU basketball traveled for an in-state, neutral-site match-up with a non-conference Power 5 opponent in the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday in Charleston, and to say things went poorly would be an understatement. The Mountaineers lost the third consecutive game against power conference competition, and did so without looking competiutive at all in the second half of action against Wake Forest.

The Mountaineers looked to have no semblance of an offensive groove, and their shooting – particularly from three-point range – was atrocious. The Mountaineers turned the ball over a season-high 17 times, and failed to take advantage of a massive offensive rebounding advantage, scoring just 15 second-chance points on 20 offensive boards.

West Virginia fans express their disappointment online Saturday evening following the loss, as it is clear they feel as if they've seen enough of this team to know how to feel. While the Mountaineers have gotten the job done against lesser competition this season, they are failing to win games against teams at a power conference level, and they're often not even looking competitive in those losses.

With another such loss coming on Saturday, it's all starting to fill West Virginia fans with concern about just what this team is capable of, and what their first-year head coach's struggles might me in the long-term for the program. Check out some of the recactions and hot takes following the Wake Forest loss, and let us know how you're feeling about the team.
