West Virginia women's basketball has exerted their will on every opponent they've face so far in the 2024-25 season, and they continued that dominance in the opening round of the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida on Friday.

The Mountaineers started 6-6 from the field and went on an early 11-1 run in the first period to set the pace early, and from there the game was never in danger for the Mountaineers as they ran to a 89-54 blowout win.

Senior J.J. Quinerly paced WVU with 22 points, while freshman Jordan Thomas had a breakout game -- she would record a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in just 17 minutes of action. The Mountaineers moves the 7-0 overall with the win while High Point drops to 2-4 overall. The win is the fifth by 30+ points this season for WVU -- all seven wins for the program have come by 20+ points.

WVU will advance to face Boise State on Saturday in the second round of action in the tournament.
