On Monday, the Associated Press (AP)droppedtheir latest women's basketball Top 25 poll and West Virginia has continued to move upwards for the second straight week.
After sitting at No. 16 in the preseason poll and advancing to No. 15 after their first two wins, the Mountaineers have climbed two more spots to No. 13 after a pair of 20+ point wins over ACC opponent Pittsburgh and SEC opponent Texas A&M.
WVU is the third-highest ranked team in the Big 12 in the poll behind No. 8 Iowa State and No. 10 Kansas State, and the No. 13 spot marks thebestregular season ranking for the program since 2018.
