West Virginia women's basketball moves up in newest AP Top 25 Poll
By Joseph Smith
It's two weeks into basketball season, and West Virginia women's basketball is still sitting undefeated at 4-0 with a pair of wins over power conference opponents.
On Monday, the Associated Press (AP) dropped their latest women's basketball Top 25 poll and West Virginia has continued to move upwards for the second straight week.
After sitting at No. 16 in the preseason poll and advancing to No. 15 after their first two wins, the Mountaineers have climbed two more spots to No. 13 after a pair of 20+ point wins over ACC opponent Pittsburgh and SEC opponent Texas A&M.
WVU is the third-highest ranked team in the Big 12 in the poll behind No. 8 Iowa State and No. 10 Kansas State, and the No. 13 spot marks the best regular season ranking for the program since 2018.
