For the second straight week, West Virginia holds strong at No. 18 in the AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Poll.

The Mountaineers stayed tight at the spot in the latest edition of the poll during a week of inactivity -- they had previously dropped four spots from No. 14 the week prior after dropping their Big 12 opener to Colorado. They are one of three Big 12 teams currently occupying a spot in the poll, with No. 11 TCU and No. 12 Kansas State ranked above them.

WVU will look to bounce back up in the next edition of the poll with a strong performance in a pair of Big 12 home matchups this week -- the first of which will take place against UCF on New Year’s Day. That game is set for tip-off from the WVU Coliseum at 2 PM EST.
