After cruising to back-to-back wins in Big 12 play last week, West Virginia women’s basketball (15-3, 5-2) found itself having moved up four spots to No. 16 in the latest edition of the AP Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Poll released on Monday – it continues a season-long streak of appearances in the poll.

The Mountaineers jumped from No. 20 to No. 16 following a pair of convincing homecourt victories over Colorado and Iowa State. WVI is one of four Big 12 teams showing up in this week’s rankings, with No. 9 TCU and No. 10 Kansas State ahead of them, and No. 25 Baylor behind them. Utah and Oklahoma State – who handed WVU one of their two conference losses this season – did not crack the Top 25 but received votes in the poll.

The Mountaineers also made an appearance at No. 11 in the NCAA NET Rankings. They now prepare for a week-long road trip to the desert, as they’ll play at Arizona State on Wednesday and at Arizona on Saturday.
