West Virginia starting quarterback Garrett Greene has officially entered his name into the 2025 NFL Draft, but he will not be playing the position he excelled at during his collegiate career if selected.

Greene made the announcement on Thursday that he is declaring for the Draft, but as a wide receiver. Greene, who had clear flaws as a passer and was utilized as a dual-threat that could take off with the ball at any point, likely doesn't have a bright future as a quarterback in the league, particularly with the trend of NFL programs wanting players at that position that come out of college a polished project rather than still needing development. But his shifty athleticism could prove perfect to carve himself a role as a receiver or returner at the professional level.

Greene finished his career 398-of-701 passing -- a 56.8 completion percentage -- for 5,370 yard, 36 touchdowns and 19 interceptions while also contributing 28 rushing touchdowns and 2,136 rushing yards on 352 carries -- 6.1 yards per carry.
