West Virginia men’s basketball is hoping for a big crowd as they play host to TCU on Tuesday night.

The Mountaineers sit firmly on the NCAA Tournament bubble entering the final two weeks of regular season play and will need to pull off some wins in their final four games remaining on the slate -- though they’ll have their opportunity to add more victories in Kansas City at the Big 12 Conference Tournament as well.

One of the biggest opportunities over the upcoming stretch for WVU to help secure their spot in March Madness action will come against the Horned Frogs on Tuesday -- the Mountaineers dropped a tight road game where they led at halftime in their first matchup with TCU. Both squads enter as bubble teams, but TCU is on the wrong side of the bubble while WVU appears to be safe for now.

A win could go a long way in putting the finishing touch on a tournament resume, while a loss could end up being the one that helps eliminate the Mountaineers from contention and send them to the land of the NIT come March.

Knowing the importance of the game, those within the program and athletic department are making their public call for as many fans to turn out on Tuesday as possible.

“You’re at that time of year where these games are absolutely critical,” WVU Head Coach Darian DeVries said. “We need to have a tough (home environment) on Tuesday to make sure we give ourselves every advantage we can."

“Massive game on Tuesday. If you can’t make it, give those [tickets] to someone who can! Let’s have the Coliseum rocking,” said WVU Athletic Director Wren Baker

The clash between WVU and TCU is scheduled to tip-off at 9 PM EST inside the WVU Coliseum on Tuesday.
