After a redshirt senior season in 2024 that more than exceeded expectations, West Virginia football starting safety Anthony Wilson Jr. has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wilson was a standout individually on a defense that struggled as a unit in 2024, registering 102 total tackle, three pass breakups, and two interceptions on the season. One of those takeaways was a pick six in a 31-24 win over Cincinnati, and his performance in that victory earned him Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Wilson recorded 182 tackles, 7 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions in 26 games as a Mountaineer between 2023-2024. He transferred into WVU following three season at Georgia Southern -- over his full collegiate career he's played in 63 games and recorded 428 tackles, 28 pass breakups, 5 interceptions, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
